Welcome to Day 2 of the 7-Day Abundance Mindset Challenge!
I hope Day 1 had some revelations for you. If so, be sure to record them in your journal/notebook and share something with us in the Comments section of yesterday’s post.
But before you go there…today we have a new challenge (and an Extra Credit) for you! So let’s get to it.
Today’s Challenge:
Challenge scarcity thinking by questioning limiting beliefs and replacing them with affirmations of abundance.
Today, if you catch yourself thinking a self-limiting thought, stop yourself and replace it with an affirmation of abundance or question it –- is this thought really true? When these kinds of thoughts happen, they are usually born from fear or anxiety -– not reality!
My Comments:
It’s amazing how our thoughts shape our reality. Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “I can’t do this” or “I’ll never be successful”? These are limiting beliefs that can hold you back. Challenge these thoughts head-on today. Replace them with affirmations like, “I am capable” or “I am worthy of success.” And if these affirmations don’t ring true for you yet, try “I can’t do this yet, but I can learn” or “I’m not successful yet, but if I keep doing the right things I will be“. See how that one little word “yet” opens up a whole new realm of possibilities? You’ll be surprised at how this simple shift can change your outlook and open up new horizons.
Suggested Actions:
1. Identify Limiting Beliefs: Write down any negative or limiting beliefs you have about yourself or your abilities.
2. Create Positive Affirmations: Replace each limiting belief with a positive affirmation. For example, “I am capable of achieving my goals.”
3. Daily Affirmation Practice: Spend a few minutes each day repeating your affirmations, preferably in front of a mirror.
There’s a wonderful little app called ThinkUp that you can install on your phone that (with the free version) will allow you to: 1) choose from a library of suggested affirmations and record them in your own voice, or 2) record your own affirmations. Hearing our affirmations in our own voice helps us to internalize them more quickly and makes them more effective. So give it a try and let me know what you think!
Extra Credit:
Focus on possibilities and opportunities rather than dwelling on limitations or scarcity.
Challenge yourself to look toward something good in the future, even if you’re not 100% sure that it will happen. Focusing on opportunities and possibilities is one of the best ways to build a stronger abundance mindset.
My Comments:
What if instead of worrying about what could go wrong, you spent time thinking about what could go right? When my kids were little, like most kids who are faced with something new, they would ask, “What if [something bad] happens?” and we would respond, “What if it doesn’t?” That usually left them speechless.
Shifting your focus to possibilities and opportunities can transform your mindset and open doors you didn’t even know existed. Take a moment today to dream big. Imagine the best possible outcome for a project you’re working on and let that vision guide your actions.
Suggested Actions:
1. Opportunity Journal: Keep a journal where you write down potential opportunities and possibilities you notice each day.
2. Brainstorm Solutions: When faced with a challenge, brainstorm at least three possible solutions or positive outcomes.
3. Visualize Success: Spend time each day visualizing yourself achieving your goals and the steps you need to take to get there.
When you’re done, scroll down to the Comments section and let us know what you did and your thoughts about today’s challenge.
See you tomorrow!
Vision: I have money for the things I need and to be generous to other individuals and organizations. I have a successful online presence and affiliate marketing business that helps other people get and stay healthy and that promotes love and protection of nature. It assists people in growing their own food in their yard or at a community garden. It also promotes fairness. I sell only products and services that fit with my Vision.
Visualization is such a powerful tool. My vision is that I have enough resources to help those around me, either by sharing money, time, or knowledge in order to improve their environment and/or situation.
